Chartered Counselling Psychologist & Clinical Psychotherapist

I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist and a Clinical Psychotherapist. I serve individuals who feel stuck or overwhelmed, or who are navigating significant life transitions, uncertainty, and crises of meaning.

The first step involves reaching a mutual understanding of your experiences, the external systems shaping your current challenges, and how you make sense of your life. The next step would be to collaboratively come up with a way to safely explore your internal world and find a meaningful path forward.

I have long experience working with adults, and the types of challenges I can offer support with include:

  • Anxiety and stress (including work-related pressure)

  • Depression and low mood

  • Significant life transitions (such as career changes, relocation, or retirement)

  • Crises of meaning, purpose, and identity

  • Complex relational difficulties

  • Loss and bereavement

My approach is integrative, and I have a special interest in existential therapy. This means we will safely explore how you make sense of your life and navigate fundamental questions of freedom, responsibility, and meaning. I also incorporate systems thinking, alongside CBT and psychodynamic insights, helping you look beyond individual symptoms to understand the broader patterns of your life.

Before focusing entirely on clinical practice, my career spanned 20 years in senior corporate leadership roles. This dual background gives me a down-to-earth, real-world understanding of the complex pressures people face in highly demanding environments. Together, we can explore your internal world and how it is shaped by external systems such as work and family, helping you find genuine well-being, resilience, and a meaningful path forward.

I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and I am a fully accredited clinical member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). I am also a chartered member of the British Psychological Society (BPS), a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and I am registered with most private health insurers including Aviva and AXA.

I offer both short-term therapy focused on a specific goal, and open-ended psychotherapy. Making the first step can feel daunting, but you do not have to face life's uncertainties alone. If you are not sure what type of intervention might be right for you, please do not hesitate to get in touch for an initial discussion to explore whether we would be a good fit to work together.
