Psychotherapeutic Counsellor

I am an Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, which means that I draw upon a number of different theoretical perspectives in my work.  This allows me to be creative in my approach to each client and their individual needs.

Making the decision to come and see a counsellor can be a daunting one at first, and for some it can feel overwhelming.  You may be here because you feel you have hit rock bottom, or that you find yourself struggling with particular relationships. There are many valid reasons why we search out help for what can seem like impossible struggles.  One-to-one counselling is an important step towards helping you understand and identify the roots of these difficulties.

I provide a non-judgemental and safe space within which you can reflect and explore your experiences. Together we will be curious about your thoughts, behaviours and processes, which can lead to a greater understanding and clarity of self, and an appreciation of why things are as they currently are.

Our sessions will be mostly centred on talking together, but occasionally, and if you are happy to, I like to offer creative tools such as the sandtray, or art materials, to help you explore how your thoughts and feelings are affecting you .

I hold an Advanced Diploma and BSc in Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counselling from Middlesex University.

I have several years clinical experience with Norfolk MIND, and with St Nicholas' Hospice in Bury St. Edmunds in the field of hospice care work supporting bereaved clients and those living with terminal illness.

I am accredited by the UKCP.

Prior to becoming a counsellor I worked for 15 years in the music and broadcast industry.
