Rachel Davidson
Integrative Counsellor
I am a qualified integrative counsellor, blending various therapeutic approaches to best meet your needs. I hold additional specialised training in bereavement and family systems, allowing for a comprehensive understanding of complex human dynamics.
My practice is centred in relational-integrative therapy, a combined approach which can effectively address concerns or distress stemming from past difficulties, present situations, or both. With in-depth training in psychological development and humanistic counselling, I ensure that your unique needs and goals guide the direction and pace of our work together.
I work with a broad spectrum of challenges, including:
· Trauma and addiction recovery
· Interpersonal relationships, family dynamics and co-dependency
· Bereavement and loss, including complex grief
· Life transitions, separation, divorce, co-parenting and parallel parenting
· Self-esteem, identity and belonging, shame, un-shaming, de-shaming
I have a special interest in the theme of loss, which is a universal aspect of all life experiences and an important part of transitions. Loss is rarely simple and often spans the course of our lives in many different forms, from relationship endings to significant bereavements, or loss of place, home and identity.
I offer a supportive, affirming, and inclusive environment where we can safely explore what is of concern to you. Together, we will develop ways to alleviate distress and find resources and coping mechanisms that support the life you want to live.
Whether you are seeking short-term focused work on a specific issue, or long-term counselling, both these options are available. Therapy will be uniquely tailored to you, grounded in inclusivity and profound respect.
Please feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions about how we might work together on your particular issue.
I am a registered member of the BACP and the NCPS
