Trainee Counsellor
I am a trainee counsellor working towards a Level 4 Diploma in Humanistic Counselling.
I believe we all face challenges at times in our lives, and that having the time and space to talk and feel heard can make a meaningful difference. My practice is humanistic and person‑centred. I believe clients are the experts in their own lives, and my role is to provide a supportive, respectful space in which they can explore their experiences and work towards personal goals. Every person is an individual with a unique life story, and so it is fitting that therapy reflects this.
As a person‑centred therapist, I will work at your pace and focus on what matters most to you. Therapy is collaborative and grounded in trust, respect, and empathy. Together, we will explore thoughts and feelings related to the difficulties you may be facing, with the aim of supporting meaningful change and improved wellbeing. Sessions offer a compassionate, confidential space where you can reflect openly and safely on your experiences.
Alongside my training as a counsellor, I bring many years of experience supporting children with special needs, and their families. More recently through volunteer work, I support individuals living with long-term and/or life-limiting conditions, as well as supporting their carers. I have both personal and professional experience of navigating bereavement, which has deepened my understanding of how complex, and individual, loss can be.
