Psychodynamic Psychotherapist

As a psychodynamic psychotherapist, I offer a safe and confidential space for you to explore what may be on your mind and how these difficulties may be impacting your everyday life.

Psychodynamic psychotherapy is a talking therapy that focuses on understanding unconscious processes, emotional patterns, and relational experiences that influence current difficulties. Therapy is exploratory and reflective in nature and may involve discussing past and present experiences, feelings, and relationships.

I believe therapy can help open the doors to understanding the emotional roots of the difficulties we experience. Through working together, we can explore how these challenges may have developed and how they continue to affect your life today. My aim is to support you in making sense of your experiences and understanding yourself as an individual, beyond labels or diagnoses. While diagnoses can sometimes be helpful, I believe it is equally important to explore the underlying experiences and meanings behind the difficulties you may be facing.

In my practice, I value autonomy, empowerment, integrity, and compassion. I aim to provide a respectful and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

I offer therapy to young people and adults who may be experiencing difficulties with academic pressures, relationships, anxiety, or depression. I also have experience working with issues such as trauma, personality disorders, mood difficulties, relationship patterns, and questions around identity and culture.

English is my main working language. I am also fluent in Cantonese and can offer therapy in Cantonese if this feels more comfortable. I come from a British-born Chinese background, which may be helpful for clients who wish to explore cultural identity and experiences within therapy.

I offer weekly face-to-face sessions, providing a consistent and reliable therapeutic framework for our work together.
